GloriaFood shuts down on 30 April 2027: what to save now

Confirmed by GloriaFood itself: the service ends on 30 April 2027 and signups are already closed. What you lose, what to export immediately, and the questions everyone is asking.

GloriaFood shuts down on 30 April 2027. This is not a rumour: the service's own home page says so, and new signups are already closed.

If you use GloriaFood to take online orders, this article tells you what is confirmed, what you will lose, and what to save right now. Choosing a replacement comes afterwards, and is covered in a separate article.

What Oracle announced

Oracle acquired GloriaFood in 2021 and has since announced the end of the product. GloriaFood's own home page states it plainly:

« GloriaFood has been discontinued and is no longer accepting new signups. »

The facts, without interpretation:

Service shuts down30 April 2027
New signupsalready closed
Restaurants affectedmore than 123,000 worldwide
Migration plan from Oraclenone

That last point is the one that matters. There is no official tool to move your setup elsewhere. Every restaurant has to retrieve its own data and find a replacement.

What you lose if you do nothing

On 1 May 2027 the GloriaFood servers go dark. What goes with them:

  • Your menu : dishes, categories, prices, and above all your options and add-ons, often hundreds of lines entered one at a time
  • Your customer list : the details of everyone who has ordered from you
  • Your delivery zones : boundaries, fees, minimum orders
  • Your order history : your volumes, your peak hours, the dishes that sell
  • Your promotions and your configured opening hours

And the "Order" button on your website stops working. If you have not replaced it by then, your customers land on a dead widget.

What to do now, before choosing anything

Do not start by shopping for a provider. Start by getting your data out, while the service still works normally. Support slows down and exports get flaky as a shutdown approaches. That is true of every shutdown, not just this one.

Three things to retrieve, in this order:

  1. Your complete menu. Export it from your dashboard or, failing that, print the whole thing to PDF with every option group expanded. It is the longest thing to rebuild and the most expensive to lose.
  2. Your customer list. Check what the export actually gives you: at minimum, the email addresses. That file is yours and it is worth far more than GloriaFood ever was.
  3. Your delivery zones and fees. A screenshot per zone is enough; what matters is keeping a record of the boundaries and the amounts.

Do it this month. Everything else can wait. This cannot.

Frequently asked questions

Is this confirmed, or a rumour? Confirmed by GloriaFood itself. Its home page states that the service has been discontinued and no longer accepts new signups. The cutoff date is 30 April 2027.

Can I keep using it until 30 April 2027? Yes. Existing accounts keep working until then. But leaving it to the last minute means meeting an overloaded support desk and flaky exports, exactly when you need both.

Will I lose my data? Yes, unless you export it yourself. Oracle has announced no retention or archiving beyond the shutdown.

Is there a free alternative? Yes, several providers have a free or very cheap plan. They do not share the same limits, particularly on carrying over your options and add-ons. We compare them in our article on the alternatives.

Can I just move to Uber Eats or Deliveroo? Technically yes, but that is a change of model, not a replacement. A marketplace brings orders and keeps the customer, at 15 to 30 percent commission on something you were getting free. If you were on GloriaFood, you had already ruled that model out.

How long does a migration take? Exporting your data takes an hour or two. Rebuilding the menu with a new provider depends entirely on whether it carries over options and add-ons: minutes if the import is genuinely complete, several days of manual entry if it is not.

What next?

Once your data is safe, a replacement still has to be chosen. Three questions are enough to filter the offers, and they are far from equal when it comes to carrying over your menu: that is the subject of our comparison of GloriaFood alternatives.
